Great compilation, very powerful, full on, dancing stuff.
First few words about the cover which is a funny alien comics, something new and different, and it is about time someone did something new with trance CD covers.
Four of the tracks involve MFG. Track 1 is a new remix to Pashubatinath with DJ Jorg. The demo version to this can be found on the first Shiva Space Technology CD. The remix is a bit faster and four minutes longer, a beautiful classic track. Track 5 is an unreleased one, which sounds more like the stuff from MFG's second album- and that is just fine by me. Tracks 2 and 6 are by Guy Zurkel alone (The Passenger). Track 2 is a great track. It's actually a much faster remix of Guy's track Planet Earth, that appears on Israels Psychedelic Trance vol. 2. It's a very powerful track, with weird drums and rhythms, dark melodies and a repeating sample- "We Created a Race of Robots... Air Man of Planet Earth". Track 6 is slower but still a very strong track. Track 3 is another party stomper with the unmistakable sound of Moshe Kenan (Xerox) teaming here with Itzik Benisti to produce what should turn into a classic morning track in parties. Track 4 of Yakov Biton (Spiral Active) and Seb Taylor (Shakta) is very heavy and different from the rest of the CD, personally I think it's the weak spot here and very disappointing. Track 7 from Chris Organic, who also participated in compiling the CD, starts mellowing things down a bit. The track is real nice. The melody is very familiar to me from somewhere else, it just seems to me that it is totally like some other track I know, though I can't put my finger on it. The Messiah track (Kristian from Elysium with Mino Vaknin from Orion) is the cream on the pie, an amazing slow and melodic track, which grinds you down, my favorite in this compilation. |
