Nilaya (opening track on Another World) starts a bit dark (as much as AP can be dark) but then you get delicate brushes of uplifting melody, that very quickly turn into that wall of sound that is so Astral it cannot be done by anyone else. The melody goes back and fourth and catches you instantly, and the groove is definitely there. A very atmospheric track that even leaves some space in your mind, a thing that is not common to late AP stuff.
Solid Electronics (opening track on The Next Millenium) sounds like a part of Dancing Galaxy. It's a very powerful track with the oh so full AP sound. It starts with a boom, some nice spacey sound and it doesn't take more then 10 seconds for that colossal bass drum to drop in. Then everything is just filled with sounds, the constantly moving melody, always changing a bit, the psychedelic flying effects and those immense entrances. It just works, though it sounds so familiar. |
