New darker sounds from the pussies, on vinyl only! And it's really like nothing they made before. The moment the needle touches the plastic and Audio Santo starts, you feel the Analog Pussy rawness of sound, just that here they took it in a very different direction. The Pussies move to Germany is well felt in these two tracks.
Audio Santo is a crunchy massive track with enormous bass and a lot of scratchy sound games, it has a great groove and it's practically touching samba, the santo samples just add to this Spanish/South American feel it gives. The monumental build up is there, but it's gradual and controlled and doesn't just explode like in their previous stuff. A great track.
On the B-side, "ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the world of the Generator Man"- It is a world full of hard and heavy bass, one of the most powerful I have heard lately, a lot of deep flying psy-sounds all around. It's a nice track, but I don't quite get the end of it- it gets lost somehow. |
